Pope Francis considered two people living together a "beautiful art," and "fascinating"-- so sez he who never had to deal with a mate.

He probably had marriage in mind when he made the remark. Over the years, however, many have looked for ways to get around that requirement. Even then, there's nothing magical about two people living together. Living together has nothing to do with two people understanding one another. But understanding the ways that people talk about cohabitation says a lot about who we are and the times in which we live.
