Former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard received a warm welcome when she returned to her homeland of Wales earlier this week.
Visiting the National Assembly for Wales to deliver a lecture for the Women in Public Life scheme, Gillard spoke about her time as the first female Prime Minister of Australia and offered advice on how women and girls can overcome discrimination.
In my exclusive interview, I spoke to Gillard about which Welsh values make for a good leader, the symbolism of a female US President and her role as the Chair of the Global Partnership for Education.
I also spoke to Dame Rosemary Butler AM, Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales about her Women in Public Life scheme and how it is making a difference for women across Wales.
