Who's gotta have it? We're another week closer to answering Randy Jackson's latest nonsensical question, as "American Idol" whittled its Top 8 down to 7 this week. Following a hit-and-miss '80s night, it seemed that the line between the best and the worst of the contestants was easily defined, but did the public votes line up with the performances?

Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet (who was apparently feeling unwell and definitely looked unsteady during the results) were the first to be pronounced safe, before British boy band The Wanted took the stage. I'd imagine it's actually fairly difficult for an artist to make their own song sound pitchy, so kudos to the group for pulling that off, I guess? The rest of the results unfolded as you might've predicted, with Colton Dixon and Skylar Laine declared safe, followed by a performance from "Idol" alum Kellie Pickler, and the reassurance that Phillip Phillips was also sticking around for another week.

The next contestant to be eliminated was ...

DeAndre Brackensick

Joining him in the bottom three were Hollie Cavanagh (who was sent back to the couches before the reveal of the bottom performer) and Elise Testone. Although Jennifer voted to use the save on DeAndre, thankfully sanity prevailed and Randy and Steven's votes outnumbered hers, sending the soulful (if limited) singer home. "This boy right here, we've been watching him for two years. I think you have an amazing voice and you're going to share a lot with the world," Jennifer told DeAndre before delivering the news. DeAndre said "I understand."

Do you think America (and the judges) made the right choice in eliminating DeAndre?

"American Idol" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
