Want to change your life one minute at a time? Try the One Minute Meditation Challenge. Do this for one day, while you are working. Are you game?

Work for one hour. Set a timer (your smartphone clock has one). You'll have to reset the timer every hour (this only takes a second). Once the timer goes off, immediately stop what you're doing and set it for one minute. There are also apps you can install on your computer, like Time Out.

Meditate for one minute. Sit in your chair. Feel your feet grounded on the floor. Place the palms of your hands on the tops of your thighs. Feel the texture of the fabric. Feel the sensation of your own breath. Forget every other thought for this minute.

Repeat. Once the minute is up, reset the timer for one hour. Continue until you finish your work day.

This is a quick and easy way to de-stress. It might surprise you how grounded you feel after even just one minute of meditation. Perhaps this exercise may inspire you to make meditation a part of your routine. This study observed that meditation reduced chronic stress and measurably relaxed the meditator. How will you feel after completing the One Minute Meditation Challenge?

As the founder of an office yoga company, I'm always looking for new tips and tricks to keep people happy in the workplace. I learned this one from life coach and meditation teacher Adreanna Limbach. This easy method of meditation may change your life -- one minute at a time.

Please post your experience in the comments section below, or read my experience here. I hope this meditation exercise has helped to clear your mind and get a new perspective on your day.
