Mother Nature Is Not Laughing

As rehearsals began for Sunday's broadcast of Earth to America! (airing on TBS Sunday 11/20 -- check local listings for times) calls began to come into the production office that talent arrivals were going to be delayed due to bad weather and storms across the country. I turned on CNN and the headline chyron read "SEVERE WEATHER." The reporter was clearly shaken by the severity and number of tornadoes, more than 3 dozen, across 5 states on Tuesday. A few hundred miles north of where the tornadoes had hit, Chicago had bizarre temperatures changes. No coats one day and snow boots the next.

If things were any more cataclysmic, we might see the ultimate irony: a TV special on global warming canceled due to freakish weather.
