In many ways, HuffPost College is a portal to the future -- we feature stories on what students are doing, thinking, feeling, seeing, wanting and where they might be going. The news for students this year has not been good. But despite the tides against them, America's youth are ambitious, restless and optimistic. They want a lot, and they want it sooner rather than later, no matter what the economy, the job market or anything else dictates.
Beyond the studies and surveys and reports that show these waves of change, though, the best testimony of what matters to college students comes from straight from YOU. We heard you -- and the nearly 150,000 of you who voted -- in April when we partnered with the White House for an open chat about student loan reform. And now, we're excited to join forces with Campus Progress for their College Keynote Address Contest.
The premise is simple -- record of a video of yourself speaking on an issue of the day -- but the significance is huge. The contest puts you on stage with acclaimed speakers from Bill Clinton to Barack Obama and lets you sound off on whatever is affecting you, you friends, your family, your generation. It is a chance for your voice to be heard -- loudly.
What's your issue? What do you have to say? Below are some ideas to start -- but in the end, it's your call.

Sara Haile-Mariam: Announcing The Campus Progress And HuffPost College National Keynote Contest
Think about what you would say if you had the chance to speak to more than 1,000 politically engaged young people in person, and tens of thousands more online, about what inspires you, and what you're doing to advance a progressive agenda. This is your chance to grab a camera (or a laptop), shoot a 1-3 minute video, and submit that video here (link) by June 9 to participate in the Campus Progress and HuffPost College National Keynote Contest.
