Who is better qualified than a woman over 40 to express a point of view on ABC's new prime time show Cougar Town? So many of you fabulous females are already in wonderful relationships with younger men, or at the very least, fantasize about the possibility. So let's hear what you have to say about how women like you are portrayed on TV.

I am inviting you to take part in the The Cougar Town Debate. This is how it's going to work. I will be asking you to answer a few questions about the show after you watch the debut on Wednesday, September 23rd. I will then share your feedback and perhaps you will get to air your views on national television.

Starting on Monday, September 21st, I will post the link to the questions on my blog www.therealcougarwoman.com, but you don't have to wait until then. Please email linda@therealcougarwoman.com now and give me your gut feeling about the show.

The fabulous females in our Real Cougar community always respond to a call for action and because of that their voices are heard. Remember how outraged we were over Milf Madness? And how we organized an email blitz to the Las Vegas radio station that featured that dumb promotion. We hate the "M" word and we sure let them know how much.

I am tired of real life cougars like Michelle Pfeiffer and Candace Bushnell whining about the cougar label. They have a strong voice so let them teach by example how fabulous strong, smart, sexy women over 40 really are. That is what I have done with The Real Cougar Woman and it seems to be working. Even More, the magazine for women over 40, now has a link on their website titled Cougar Cafe. Times are changing and women are doing what makes them happy. It's about time isn't it?

All of you are know firsthand that a Real Cougar refuses to be defined by the age of the man she chooses to be with. Do you think this new show will reflect that confidence and independence? In my opinion, it won't. So far the media has continued to misrepresent women over 40 who are part of this latest relationship phenomenon. Shows like The Cougar, Age of Love, and even The Housewives of whatever city tend to make us look like cartoon characters, not real women. Sure, sex sells and that's why they do it, but we can sure let them know we don't like it. That's how change happens.

It's important for you to take part in The Cougar Town Debate. We have a strong voice, so let's use it to our advantage. For the next two weeks the spot light is on cougars. This is a great opportunity to shine and let people know that the cougar label is a designer label that we are proud to wear.

Thanks for you help. Standing together women over 40 have a very powerful voice - let's use it to our advantage.
