Wow.

Simply had to point out that Exxon Mobil just reported a record-breaking $36.13 billion in PROFITS in 2005 -- and the Senate Republicans, with support from this President, vetoed a temporary windfall profits tax on oil companies that was in the Tax Bill. This could have resulted in billions more in our coffers -- and the money from the windfall was slated to be used for re-investing in energy-savings moves or in helping low income folks.

Is this the way to end our dependence on oil you pointed out Mr. President -- or is it a way to reward your oil company friends and big party contributors.

Oily, indeed.
