The View From Alaska's Remote Wilderness (PHOTOS)

Posted: 04/ 6/2012 7:00 am

Southeast Alaska is a mythic land of breaching whales, calving glaciers and centuries-old forests. Lindblad-National Geographic leads expeditions here aboard their two, 62-guest ships, the National Geographic Sea Lion and National Geographic Sea Bird.

All of these photos were shot by naturalists and Lindblad-National Geographic certified photo instructors last year during spring and summer in Alaska. Certified photo instructors are on every departure as part of Lindblad-National Geographic's exclusive Expedition Photography program that offers guests an unprecedented service: the chance to shoot with and learn from top photographers in the field.

Small ship Alaska expeditions with Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic are offered every week beginning in May.
