Now stand out star Alana, or more affectionately deemed by her family Honey Boo Boo, have a spin-off putting their family front and center. What makes this show the topic oozing off of everyone's tongue and out of their mouth's? The outlandish and brazen way that this family lives, the way they speak, and the way they interact with themselves and those outside of their family.
You might be addicted to this sweeping sensation of a show if you have taken your stomach and pretended like it was talking, just like Alana does. You might be addicted to this tantalizing tickler if you have newly nicknamed your pet, no matter what species or gender, Glitzy -- the Thompson's pet teacup pig. You might even be addicted to the hilarious hiking of this prickly program if you have to scream everything you're saying instead of speaking at a normal register. It's easy to see why Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has captivated so many viewers. You may find Alana and her family charming and are transfixed by their unique outlook and way of life. Or, you find the show to be a train wreck and you dislike what the family is doing or represents. However, for some unknown reason, just cannot seem to change the channel. Not everything the family does may be appropriate, or even politically correct, but you have to admit there is something about them that makes you thankful for the life you lead!
Pageants may be Alana's bread and butter, but the show doesn't focus mostly on that, it centers around the mischief that her family either makes or enjoys participating in. Whether it's the Redneck games, shopping at an auction for food, or even taking etiquette lessons, it's easy to see life in rural Georgia is never a dull moment for the Thompsons. You more than likely wouldn't want to participate in the events the family does, but you get a great big belly laugh from the family's misguided attempts. They all come complete with a healthy attitude and a chip on their shoulder. You can't help but want to imitate or repeat some of the things they say, but most definitely wouldn't want your kids watching the show with you. There are plenty of cringe worthy moments that make you want to scream, but to this precocious group it is just another moment in life that they live.
