"Walking into this dimly lit room with smoke settling half way creating a cloud, all I could hear were whispers and moans" says Nate. "As Madonna's "Frozen Art Mix" played, I just remember her taking my glasses and tie off then walking away." Nate, whose name has been changed to protect his identity, says as he describes his first time at an underground sex party where he first met Valentina, his mistress for the past 4 years. "I should have been afraid of the whip she struck on the floor as I walked towards her, but I was captivated by her statuesque beauty and truth be told, I was up for anything that night!"
Nate says that he remembers the music that was playing vividlyon that fateful evening because his experience was so visceral with his senses on overload. Nate and Valentina both agree that although they recognize they have an addiction, "We're not hurting anyone. I wonder if this bothers ANYONE in these 2 relationships as marriage should be sacred and according to the Ten Commandments in the Bible, "Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife" I say. "Well, then it's a good thing we're not neighbors!" says Nate stressing that he flies in once a month to NYC for a week at a time for work. And also stresses that although Valentina's in her fourth year of Dental School, they still make time for the festivities. Is there any jealousy from their spouses of THEIR relationship and DO they have sex with their own spouses is my next question. Nate says the answer is NO, no jealousy as all 4 of them hang out when they can and yes to both of them having sex with their own spouses. He equates Valentina to more of a "buddy you do things with that your wife doesn't want to do."

"I guess, at least in my mind Valentina, I would think that a vow of Holy Matrimony would be something to be taken seriously. I mean, I don't share." Feathers a little ruffled, Valentina says "What makes you think we do? Remember, our spouses don't partake of the orgies, they're simply the audience. Nate and I are the performers and although we have sex with each other, it's never just the 2 of us! THAT would be cheating. But with 6 or more in one bed? That's a banquet we want to be a part of!"
And how do they know where they will be feasting next month if all these parties are underground? "We're members of a "sharing community" in which invitations are sent out weekly. You have to RSVP! I mean, the more the merrier of course, but you never want to arrive late! We don't like left overs and always want to choose first!" Valentina says that nothing disappoints her more than not being able to have her "pick of the litter." "Not everyone that's invited looks like Nate and I and we are very picky! Do they fear that their sexual freedom puts them at risk for STI's? "No, we get tested every 3 months and ONLY with a clean bill of health is anyone allowed to join the soirees!" Valentina notes that no one should ever be careless and have unprotected sex. "I don't care HOW attracted I am to someone, I HAVE TO KNOW your health stats! See, I can get laid anywhere with people that are conscious of their behaviors and responsible with their actions. WHY would I not only put MYSELF in danger but my husband and everyone else I share a bed with as well because I had sex with someone who isn't as careful? No. Besides, you can't join a group without the Host or Hostess having record of your negative results. Just because we're promiscuous doesn't mean we're irresponsible!"
"Well then" I think to myself.
Up late at night, which is not unusual for me, I get a text from Valentina asking me to come join her and Nate at a local gathering with a picture of an empty cage. I send back a text with a simple "?" to which she responds with another picture of her IN the cage. Curiosity getting the better off me, I decide to go. After passing through 3 different check points, I have my "aha" moment. Staying only long enough to witness how much money Valentina was auctioned off for, I walk out actually feeling like I was leaving a hell of a party! No one was naked, yet, most everyone was worthy of giving an autograph and I was leaving with a different sense of WHO I THOUGHT these extremely open minded people were. Yes there was a certain amount of sleaze, but remember they are all free of decease. And as long as they aren't hurting anyone, who am I to judge. Not only that, anyone who cares about the well being of animals is OK in my book.
