There are some mornings where I am pulling myself out of bed by my hair. There seems to be a laundry list of things to do all before 8:45 am - not even including the laundry! Get the kids up and dressed, get the monkeys fed, brush teeth, and pack lunch. And when I was working in an office where I needed to pull a comb through my hair and find clothes that didn't have spit-up or playdoh stains on them, I swear, I was looking up ways to clone myself... Calgon, take me away!

I always tell my husband that if someone could take just one of those things off my plate, my life would simplify, like 10 fold. You guys feel me? I know most of you are in the same boat here. So let me help you take one of those things off your list. Unfortunately, I can't exactly come to your house and get your kids up, but I have an idea for you.

What if I told you there was a way to quickly get your kids fed some fruit, yogurt and protein? And what if I told you that you wouldn't have to pull out a single plate or bowl? AND! What if I told you your kid would think you were even cooler than you already are? Enough selling - here's what you're gonna make...

BREAKFAST ICE POPS! These little bites are packed with real fruit, Greek yogurt and protein so they're pretty nutritious and they're absurdly fun to eat. Great way to start the day, amiright? And believe me, your kids are going to be BRAGGING to their friends that their mom gave them ice pops for breakfast. Dang, mom. You are so dope!

Breakfast Ice Pops

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 ripe banana
1 handful of fresh or frozen blueberries
1 small handful of fresh or frozen pineapple
1/2 cup kefir (you can use milk, OJ, apple juice almond milk - whatever liquid you like)
1 cup of your favorite Greek yogurt
3 tablespoons chia seeds

(By the way, you should feel free to use the fruit you love - this recipe is super adaptable!)

Method: (Note, your kiddos can help with nearly every step here!)
1. Place all fruit in a blender. Depending on the kind of blender you have, you may need to thaw your fruit first if you are using frozen fruit
2. Add the kefir (or whatever liquid you like) and chia seeds to the fruit in the blender and blend until smooth
3. Using an ice pop mold (we like these molds but if you don't have ice pop molds, you can easily use those little 5 ounce Dixie cups with wooden ice cream sticks or even straws that you've cut down to size), spoon about 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt into each mold - this will give your ice pop a nice layered look
4. Pour your fruit/kefir/chia seed mixture in each mold - on top of the Greek yogurt you just spooned in (this way you'll have a nice little bite of yogurt before chomping into the fruit)
5. Place your ice pop mold sticks in (if you're adding wooden ice cream sticks, wait about 2 hours until the fruit mixture is partially frozen - this way, the sticks will stand on their own)
6. Freeze for about six hours or until completely frozen
