How great do you feel on those days when your hair looks fabulous? Nothing can make you feel more beautiful or on top of the world. On the other hand, is there anything more horrible than a bad hair day? You look in the mirror and want to cry. Your confidence and self-esteem take a dive to less than zero. You don't want to leave your house and face the world, never mind your friends and co-workers. There's not much that can make you feel more frumpy than a bad hair day.

Hair is a symbol of beauty. It is also an individualized expression of your personality. It sends out a signal that can attract or repel people. This is especially important if you are looking for a new job, want to be considered for a promotion or just want to be noticed more on the social scene. Most of us are attracted to people who are well-groomed. They are the women who get the jobs, the promotions and the dates.

Women often get bored with their hair. They are perpetually looking for a change to improve their appearance. They want to look prettier, younger and more vital. They want to be noticed. Changing your look can be one of the most revitalizing things you can do. As surprising as it may seem, a new look is all it takes to rejuvenate a woman's spirit.

Changing one's style is also a way to diminish stress. Many women want changes when they are going through a difficult emotional experience. This can be a perfect time for a change, a way to let go and move on. It's important to make sure each change is a positive one. I have seen too many natural blondes turn brunette only to regret their choice, and have to go through the slow change back to being a blonde, a process that can take up to a year and seriously impair the condition of their hair.

A woman's hair is her Number One beauty and fashion accessory. She can wear a T-shirt and jeans from the Gap and if her hair is right, she'll look like a million dollars.
