For those of you who read Friday's story about Oscar weekend, there was a glitch. The phone numbers and addresses of the new Soho House that opens today March 8th, The Tower Bar at the Tower Hotel -- where they are cleaning up after last night's Vanity Fair Oscar party -- and the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel -- where they are getting ready for another busy day of schmoozing -- weren't added. Alas, no problem...

I should add that the Soho House is a private club, but anyone can submit a request for membership, which will run you $2,000.00 a year.

After spending the last few nights at Soho House attending various events during Oscar weekend, I can say without a doubt that this is truly going to be a very popular place to give parties as well as dine while gazing out at the city below. At the Weinstein Company's Oscar party sponsored by Mont Blanc, the fabulous cocktail hors d'oeuvres never stopped, and they were some of the best I have ever tasted. The reason is that they have the talented Matt Armistead in the kitchen. I wrote about him on Friday, but neglected to mention a few of the dishes I tasted, like the Kobi beef braised short rib (sinfully rich, but we devoured it nonetheless), and the next night a sensational Chicken cacciatora that had the earthy flavors of Tuscany in this hearty dish. The beef sliders were a big success at all the events, and will be on the permanent menu. The gracious staff must be exhausted and it is just the beginning. Now that the Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gerard Butler, Jamie Fox and many more have all gone home, they have to get up and start all over again today.

The staff at the Tower Hotel must also be wiped out after taking care of the many stars from film, theater, music, politics and sports who attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party. But, as it's hotel, they will be open for business as usual today.

The stars, their agents and power brokers must have booked tables for another busy week at the big Pink Hotel's Polo Lounge, where the waffles, eggs benedict, and the even oatmeal are sounding quite good about now!

If you are aching for a little more glitz and glam but with a hipper and low key feel this week, head over to the restaurant at the Chateau Marmont, Andre Balasz' legendary hotel at the far end of Sunset Blvd. This place never sleeps! The parties haven't stopped there throughout the award's season, but according to Jessie McBride, the hotel's food and beverage manager, it is always a party at this hotel. People come for the great atmosphere as well as the food, the calamari with tomato fondue, the spaghetti bolognese, the Fried chicken on Sunday night, and the hot fudge sundaes. They have a great wine list and can make any cocktail in the book to perfection.
