The other day, I had lunch with a friend who's obsessed with bats. Literally. He travels around the world with this guy named Merlin and studies bats.

My bat-obsessed friend sent me some videos from his bat-studier friend, Merlin Tuttle, to watch (he dared me to watch, anyway). The first one I chose had the title "Follow Your Passion When Setting Your Life's Course." In the video, Tuttle asks viewers, What if you had a billion dollars and were on a permanent vacation? What would you do with your life?

Clearly, Merlin Tuttle chose to study bats. But what would you choose? What would I choose? Over the past few days, this question has continued to pop up in my head. Over and over. We all have a choice--even if we think we don't, we do. And there's no cost to actually considering this question and answering it for yourself.

So as summer comes to a close, be thinking about it! I know I will be.

What if you had a billion dollars and a permanent vacation? What would you do with the rest of your life?
