Moments In Life That Matter

Photography, in general, has become so important as it can 'freeze' the moment so that each person could return to that time in life and experience it newly. And every life moment is valuable, to a greater or lesser extent, as it influences and shapes our personality.

There are moments in life that we clearly remember. These are, usually, the most important events in our life, like finishing the school, going to the college, getting the first salary, getting married, and so on. Of course, it's all very individual and for each person, there have been (and will be) the moments in life that are the most important to them. Such moments are remembered and are the most meaningful as they reflect our achievements and dream fulfillment.

But what about some other moments in life, moments that we treat as not so important? Going out with a friend, visiting some new places, going hiking might not seem like something extremely crucial, especially when we do it quite often. But I believe that every moment in life matters, and something that doesn't seem important at the moment, might be essential in the future.

There have been debates whether personalities change or remain stable over the life period. And, as new research shows, we do have a tendency to change over a certain period of life, especially if we want to alter some of our character traits. We change physically as we grow older, and our attitudes and beliefs tend to change as well. Among the main factors that might have an impact on us is our surrounding, the things we do in life, the people we spend time with and the moments we have in life. At times, a random conversation with an elderly person on the bus, weekend in the mountains can make us reconsider some of our attitudes and beliefs.

We do not change rapidly, - it's a rather slow process, that's why every life moment matters as it adds to our personal growth and development. And it's good to look back at those moments from time to time to see what kind of person you were and how those past events influenced you. It's great to have an opportunity to think back about the places you've visited, the people you've spent time with and even the way you looked like, your hair and clothes style, and compare it with your current look. That's why it's quite important to take pictures during different life periods so that you could always have an opportunity to return to those times. Pictures also help refresh the memories and experience those life moments again. Besides, it's not only a lot of fun to look back at yourself, but it's also about comparing what kind of person you once were, what dreams you had, and what kind of person you are now.

These days a lot of people indeed take tons of pictures mostly using a smartphone camera. While it might be convenient to take a picture using a smartphone (it's not very heavy, and it's always with you), I believe that the pictures taken by a camera are still of better quality, and the quality does matter, even if you are not a professional photographer and take pictures just for your personal use. There are quite a lot of affordable DSLR cameras in the market today, and every person can choose the one that best suits his or her own needs. DSLR cameras give more control over the picture; besides, they are good for experimenting as well, especially if you like taking pictures at night or want to give some artistic touch to the picture. Of course, you cannot carry the camera with you all the time (even though some people do), and here is when smartphones can be handy; but if you are planning a weekend or some fun party together with the friends, camera can save those life moments forever, so that you could come back and experience them again.
