Brian Dennehy talked the meaning of art, explained his passion for Eugene O'Neil and told me my wife was more intelligent than me. It was perhaps the most fun I've had hosting The Interview Show, a monthly talk show we put on in Chicago, at The Hideout, and in Brooklyn, at Union Hall.

Dennehy is in Chicago to co-star with Nathan Lane in The Iceman Cometh, at the Goodman Theatre. Previews are now under way.

Below, watch my far-reaching, Manischewitz-and-vodka-fueled conversation with Dennehy.

The next Interview Show is Thursday May 3, in Brooklyn, featuring interviews with writer Chuck Klosterman, Delocated star Jon Glaser and sex advice writers Em & Lo, plus music by Nova Social. More info here.
