This post is the first of a series of video interviews we'll be doing over the next few days at this year's conference of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) in Chicago, Illinois. Over the last few years, I've found that video-blogging is a better way to provide you with a window into the substance of what happens at AAPOR while still finding time to attend the sessions...and sleep.

Today, for example, was a whirlwind of planes, trains and automobiles. So we taped a quick interview with, well, me to introduce this series.

And did you notice I said "we?" Well, if you play the video above, you should hear me say that they person behind the camera asking the questions is regular Pollster contributor Kristen Soltis who will be sharing interviewing duties with me this year. Thank you Kristen!

You can see all the videos, including those from last year's conference, here. Once again, credit for the animated graphic title that introduces each video goes to Kristen's colleague Lisa Mathias at the Winston Group. Thank you (again) Lisa!

And stay tuned, we'll have much much more on Friday and over the weekend.
