First, some belated housekeeping: I neglected to officially welcome Brenden Nyhan and Robert Moran as new regular contributors to Pollster.com. Brenden, now a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy Research at the University of Michigan, was a co-editor of Spinsanity and co-author of the New York Times bestseller All the President's Spin. He will cross-post occassional polling items from his blog www.brendan-nyhan.com.

Robert Moran is Executive Vice President at StrategyOne, where he leads the Corporate and Public Affairs research practice, is the Director of Product Marketing, and manages the primary research team in the Washington office. Before that he worked for more than ten years at the Republican polling firms Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Associates and Public Opinion Strategies.

Finally, as of tonight I am officially off for a much needed week of vacation.
