It's where the answer is. The answer to everything. The answer to all your happiness, problems, challenges and pure joy. It's all inside one place: you.

To many this is a great surprise, because they are looking from the outside in, they are letting others tell them what to think, what to do, what to eat, what to wear, what job to have, what to read, who their friends should be, and on and on. They have skipped a vital step -- they forgot about themselves.

You are the greatest resource of all. You possess a deep collection of unique and most likely untapped resources that can help you in your personal relationships, your business success, your health and wealth.

Darren Hardy, the publisher of Success magazine, puts it this way:

Over time and through practice I have found that the answers to the most vexing questions don't exist on Ask.com, YouTube or Wikipedia, but reside within. The holy grail, as it were, isn't out there to be found at all, it is within to be discovered. When it comes to the big issues, challenging problems and important life decisions, the most insightful person to interview is you.

Inside you is the big thing you are looking for. You may be inspired and motivated by reading and studying the words of others who have been where you want to go... and there's nothing wrong with that, in fact it you can gain great insight. But in the end the map to get you where you want to go to find hidden treasure, exists in only one place, inside you.

If you start from your core, from your why and work your way outward, you will discover the what to do, your true talent or influence, and then the how to do it as well. Communicate with yourself and with others from the inside out and you talk directly to the part of your brain that controls behavior, it's where intuition and gut decisions come from. It is where you must begin if you want lifelong happiness and fulfillment, the outside world and the stuff the world tells you to do is simply a Band-Aid for what ails you. It is fleeting joy, temporary success, and you will forever be looking out there for the next thing to make you happy, but only for the moment, until the moment is gone.

Just the other day I received a hand-written thank you note from someone who started out as an acquaintance, then business associate and now friend. The last line on that card read: "Your journey through life has touched many people, including myself." I take great pride in his statement of gratitude and for touching his life and others because I know the starting line for my journey began in one place... from within.

Start with the end in mind. That end begins... with you.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time.
