Blame Bush for stonewalling on Katrina?

Might as well blame a skunk for stinking. It's the nature of the beast. It isn't surprising that Bush is trying to cover up his blunders. What's surprising -- or ought to be -- is the willingness of the Republican-dominated Congress take it lying down.

Fortunately, we get to change who dominates the Congress two years before we get to change who lives in the White House. If the Congress as currently constituted won't do its job, citizens will have to do theirs.
