Andy Sabl thinks warrantless wiretapping, even if correctly identified as Presidential lawbreaking, is a losing issue for Democrats. He also thinks that politicians have a moral obligation to talk about winning issues -- such as the massive corruption that led to the Medicare prescription-drug disaster -- rather than talking about losing issues that make activists feel good.

Update Andy has more thoughts, after an email exchange with Bruce Moomaw and a review of the polling data. He thinks John Kerry has found the potentially winning line: OF COURSE we want to protect ourselves, and we can and should do so under the law.
