Taiwan, passed a national healthcare program about the same time as the Republicans and the insurance industry torpedoed the Clinton plan. Taiwan then had higher infant mortality than the U.S. Now it has a lower rate. About 45,000 American children died because that bill didn't pass. James Wimberley does the math.
