Brad & Angelina's Comeback, Robert Pattinson's Ultimatum & Us Weekly's 7th Jon & Kate Cover!

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

The King and Queen of the U.S. tabloid market took back their thrones this week - and yes - I'm talking about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The couple is on three covers this week. Plus, Angie is on a 4th competing with her clone Megan Fox.

OK! Magazine
is on top of Twilight's Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart drama. But, what happen to Jon & Kate Plus 8? No worries! They are alive and well on the cover of Us Weekly for the 7th week in a row!

Let's take a closer look at each cover.

Angelina Jolie is not going to be happy about this Star Magazine cover. The tab reveals Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had a secret hotel hookup! Well, it's no longer a secret. You know why? The nosy limo driver blew their cover. Jen, who was completely out of breath, called Brad and said "I'm Here!" and it all appears to have occurred at 1 a.m.

People Magazine apparently has the real story about Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. Inside this week's issue, you'll find out the truth about Brad and Jen's meeting, what their lives are like right now, and what's fact vs. fiction!

How sad! Angelina Jolie had a really tough birthday. Adding to the fact that she turned 34 - ancient in Angelina years - Brad and her had an explosive fight about who? You guessed it! Jennifer Aniston. Perhaps it was about that "hotel hookup" reported by Star? The fight was so bad that now Brad and Angelina are planning on living apart.

Life & Style reports on a new war in Hollywood. The woman who still goes by a first name and last - Megan Fox - is taking on the woman who only needs one name - Angelina! What caused this ruckus? Angelina was pushed aside for a movie role by the younger, sexier clone of herself. Ouch! Now, Angelina is panicking about growing older and will do anything to compete.

OK! Magazine (full disclosure: I consult for OK!) releases its second Twilight cover in a row. This week, Robert Pattinson tells Kristen to make up her mind. After demanding Kristen choose between him and her boyfriend, a frustrated Rob packs his bags and moves to New York. Are Kristen's mind games hurting Rob?

Finally, Us Weekly unveils its 7th, yes 7th, Jon & Kate Plus 8 cover in a row! While the previous issue focused on how mean Kate is, this week the magazine reports on Jon's bad behavior. He apparently cheated on Kate's birthday. Smack! And, there's a picture to prove it!

It's time for my weekly trip to the supermarket, so I'll be catching up on all this breaking news shortly.

What is the difference between buying one of those newpapers or reading it here on Huff Post.? Because you are still sort of interested if you pulled this article up.

True. The difference to me is that it is free on Huff. I won't read it if I have to pay for the magazine.

Okay, I understand that. But there are some comments here implying they are above gossip. That is all.

Because I can get all my gossip here and not pay for it. ;-)

Reading some of this stuff is getting a well rounded spread of current events.

HuffPo is free and the comments can make the article.

You make a good point. I used to justify it to myself by saying that I don't pay for it, until I realized that by clicking the link I'm still perpetuating the tabloid culture. If these kinds of articles didn't get attention, the advertisers would move on.

I'm definitely not judging anybody - I clicked on this story the same as you. But there are certain things I won't click on, no matter how curious I may be (i.e. any article about Chris Brown), just because I don't want to send the message that I care.

Never.

(Except people once in a while -- actually, no. I've bought that magazine about twice in as long as it's been around.)

I look at these magazines at check counters, with their innuendos and outrageous lies screaming out, and I wonder why we as a decent society say this kind of false journalism is OK.

Also, no,no, and no! I don't know why Brad Pitt would go see his ex, although once in a great while you need to talk to your ex, even if you don't have kids together (personal experience). But Brad Pitt is devoting a lot of his life to getting New Orleans rebuilt. He has 3 biological kids with Jolie, and 3 adopted. This man is going nowhere. People who spend their personal time doing real charity work (not just going to parties seeking donations), are not the kind of people who desert their kids. Anniston would never tolerate the Pitt/Jolie kids, so there is no secret set-up for the two ex's to get back together. If there was a meeting, EVERYONE knew about it, and it was being held in the middle of the night to avoid the press (didn't work). While Jon&Kate are headed for splitsville, Pitt and Jolie are not going to mess up the lives of their six kids.

I wouldn't buy ANY of those. If I had a free copy, I would still wrap fish in it.
