Jon & Kate Plus 8: Don't Watch Special Episode!
Tomorrow night marks the much anticipated special episode of Jon & Kate plus 8 where they may actually announce they are splitting -- and it's up to you NOT to watch this train wreck.
Why?
It's time to take a stand for the Gosselin kids!
By not watching, you are sending a message loud and clear that you've had enough of these poor kids being under the reality microscope.
The coverage of this mess really hit rock bottom this week when pictures surfaced of Kate Gosselin "spanking her child."
Can you imagine what it's like for that kid to go to school after that picture is published everywhere? Plus, there's the long-term impact! Who knows what type of psychological damage these kids will experience in the years to come?
It's also time to stop kids from being included on these types of reality shows. Can you imagine what it will be like for OctoMom's Nadya Suleman's kids if her show actually makes it to air?
In fact, there should be a law passed making it illegal for children to be included in any type of reality show. They have no idea what they are getting themselves into when they "agree" to participate.
The bottom line is Jon & Kate Gosselin should have pulled the plug on this season if their marriage problems were so bad -- and they should have NEVER signed up to do this show in the first place.

Mark, there is a revolt after "questionable" election results in Iran and the GOP wants to "talk the talk" and maybe invade them too... eeeekkkk. There was a horrendous Metro crash in DC and many were injured and some are dead.. This is way more interesting than watching people implode..
too late! Millions of dopes out there did!!! These two are in serious need of a counselor.. and lots of counseling.. they should, if what is claimed, put their 8 chidren ahead of their neediness. Maybe if they put the work into the marriage, instead of a tvshow, they might be ok.. One can only hope.. reality tv is for anyone who wants to see someone with worse problems than their own, I think..
Personally, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Animal Planet, FoodtvNetwork, Eureka, DrG, L&O;CI, and the news way outweigh any of those reality things.. see how much stuff there is out there..

If people watch this show because they are that starved for entertainment, perhaps hey need to get the f@#k out of the house. What's next, "He's A Celebrity, Throw Him To The Lions?"

I gotta disagree - sometimes a light open handed wack on the ass is JUST what a kid needs.....My parents raised 8 kids starting from 1954 to 1967 ....now 41 to 56 ( so we were close in age) in a era before pampers.....my mother did it all ( no help) all on a Phila Firemans salary (which was crap) no wonder my dad was in a bad mood alot when we were kids.........sure we got "it" when were kids..and sometimes I am not sure WHY we got spanked.....but as we all grew up - we ALL had the upmost respect and admiration for my parents,and thier hard wrk at rasing all of us.....NONE of us ever Talked back/or used our hands against our parents....thier number #1 rule- was DO NOT EMBARRASS THEM....and we didn't......my mother and father took pride in the fact that people would always compliment them, on how - well behaved and manerly we were. Sure, I would rather not have been spanked....and maybe sometimes I didn't "deserve" it.......but looking back, it made us better adults who love and respected thier parents. at 48...I've never had kids, but have plenty of neices and nephews - and I've never taken it upon myself to spank any of them.....but a light wack on the behind is just what a kid needs sometimes.
That is such total crap. I'm not knocking your parents. I'm sure they did a great job and hitting kids was considered appropriate during their generation. But so was discrimination and that a wife's place was in the kitchen. Hitting children teaches them that might is right and that violence is an appropriate response to solving arguments or discipline. It also can lead to incredible resentment from a small child getting whacked by a big adult. There are much better ways of disciplining children. I never hit my daughter and she is very well behaved. The same goes for my friends that have kids. On the other hand the kids that I do see getting hit some times in the supermarket are the ones that are screaming and out of control. Let me put it to you this way. Have you ever had a dog? Do you think its OK to hit your dog to discipline it? I'm assuming the answer is no, at least no one who is an expert on training dogs would sanction it. So if you don't hit your dog why would you hit your child?
Haven't seen one episode yet. See no reason to start now!
Don't worry, I will not watch that episode, just like I haven't watched ANY episode of that stupid show!!

Agreed and thank you for putting the spotlight on this. Time to protect the kids not line the pockets of the parents.
And lets not forget the Duggers or whatever their name is on TLC. This huge family has even made themselves tax exempt I understand. And the octuplets, please lets not even go there!
I've never seen one hour of this farce and never will be ...yeh...enough with using other's peoples life tragedies for out personal entertainment.. I'm sure their kids won't be sorry to see us go...
and a list of sponsers to who one could write and mention....I ain't buying what your selling while you continue to prop up fiascos like this family.
I have a better idea. Get a list of the sponsors and boycot them until they pledge to never again advertise on any reality show involving minors, make ads apologizing for their part in the abuse of the Gosselin kids. After pulling their advertisements, they should donate the money that would have been spent advertising on this show to CASA or another child abuse watchdog group.
Give me a break. There is nothing wrong with spankings. If more kids were actually disciplined, we'd have far less problems everywhere.

Spanking isn't discipline. Discipline is structure and rules and supervision, etc.
And sometimes spanking as a punishment. Beatings are never required, but a spanking, especially for a younger child who may not understand all the reasons for a punishment, is discipline.

Yes I agree with you! Nonetheless, we have to think of the children first, they are used to that kind of environment and need help if the two idiots are to breakup. Jon and Kate used to love each other dearly. I hope it is just a show to get the ratings for I am thinking about the children.
If we don't watch it no one will be able to help the kids! We have to marshall their happenings so that Kate knows that everyone is watching her. She is getting horrible because Jon allows it in the first place. They both are idiots and forget that they are parents to 8 lovely kids. Their ego clouded both of them.
In future, if, she introduce the family breaker, Steve into the show she should be sued by her children with the help of the public and all their earnings have to be evenly split for the kids' future for she is going to give alot to that man. I understand, he is a family man too and yet he is doing such a scheme for the sake of money!
No man will stand such behavior. Once he gets money from her he will leave too. The worst case scenerio is that he may even rape some of the kids!
It is getting sadder and TLC is turning to other parents that is also a no, no!

Apparently, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. it is true that Kate has been accused of seeing her bodyguard, Steve, but no one has substantiated the rumors. On the other hand, Jon has been seen with not one but two young women, and one affair has been substantiated. Where is your outrage at him? Also, why would you make that comment about the bodyguard attacking the children? That's just sick!

I'll go one better. I've never watched it, spent days going "Who are these people" when it all first started kicking off.
