Founder and Chairman of the "American Family [sic] Association" - the "Rev." Donald Wildmon - the wild man of America's religious right - is up in arms against Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) who is planning to take his Congressional oath on the Koran. (Exercising his constitutional rights as an American.)

Wildmon's AFA website is prominently endorsing and promoting this puerile drivel from hack radio talk-show host Dennis Prager:

"He should not be allowed to do so - not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization."

Pardon my French - but what a load of old bollocks!

The enthusiastic fanning of Prager's inflammatory words is being undertaken by a man who inspired the burning of crosses in the front yard of MCA/Universal Chairman Lew Wasserman's home in 1988 to protest the release of Martin Scorsese's film "The Last Temptation Of Christ".

He's a wily operator old Donald - but he's not exactly the brightest spark. After he failed to intimidate Universal into not releasing the film - he issued a statement claiming that at least he'd prevented Scorsese making a sequel!

(Yup the SEQUEL to "The LAST Temptation Of Christ" would have been quite a flick! Of course the first challenge would have been coming up with a plausible title...)

I'll leave it to others to demolish the spurious arguments against Rep. Ellison's constitutional rights being spread by this discredited rabble-rouser - but I will make this simple observation.

And I make it directly to the "Reverend"

Donny...

If you want to prevent the undermining of American Civilization - why not start by eliminating glaringly obvious grammatical mistakes that America's children (not to mention the defenceless unborn with good eyesight) will discover on your piss-poor excuse for a website?

The VERY FIRST SENTENCE of your website's attack on Rep. Ellison contains a grammatical gaffe that a 3-year-old cucumber wouldn't commit. Let alone your average retarded demagogue. You can't blame it on Prager. This is YOUR blathering preamble to his hateful screed.

Here's what it says:

What book will America base it's values on, the Bible or the Koran?

Well how about on a book that can tell the difference between "it's" (abbreviation for "it is") and "its" (possessive)?

Oh well... as George Bush so memorably put it:

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"

Meanwhile - I suggest you stick to burning crosses outside the homes of decent Americans you hate.

There's less chance of making spelling errors and grammatical mistakes that way...
