In Defense Of Sarah Palin

There has been far too much criticism of Sarah Palin lately.

People have accused her of being a quitter simply because she resigned her office after just 30 months of her first four-year term.

What people are forgetting is that she has set a wonderful example for Republican politicians.

If other GOP members who are elected to office follow her example and quit after serving approximately 60% of their first elected terms -- just think how much better for the nation.

If only some other Republican leaders in the past had done what she has had the courage to do.

• Richard Nixon would have been gone by June 1971

• George W. Bush would have been out of there by June 2003

And just think how much better this country would have been under President Spiro T. Agnew and President Dick Cheney...

4 years of his 6 year term - until 54% of the American nation elected him President which necessitated his resignation from the Senate.

That's 2 years in the Senate more than Abraham Lincoln's solitary 2-year term in the House.

And 4 years more than Abraham Lincoln served in the Senate.
