It's called ROCK Like An Egyptian! (I can never resist a bad pun!)

Incredible night last night. Another full house for the Harry Nilsson documentary. Standing ovation for the film. I lost my composure for a few moments during the post-screening discussion that I was moderating with the filmmakers. I was supposed to be wearing my independant "moderator" hat. But my own personal love of Harry Nilsson and the emotional power of the film overwhelmed me at one point. It is such an evocative powerful testament to Harry. "There's no crying in film festivals" supposedly... But there were a few tears last night. Also some of joy at the wonderful stories of his adventures and the marvel of his angelic voice and exquisite songs.

Coming up in a couple of days time - some suggestions of how lovers of Harry Nilsson can join a campaign to get the film a distribution deal. That it languishes without a distributor is border-line criminal...

The screening of "Skidoo" was another wonder. Lines snaking out onto Hollywood Boulevard. Sold-out house. Glorious event. Kudos to Skidoo-ologist Christian Divine for his tireless campaign to have the film remembered. The huge audience last night was testament to the fact there are fellow Skidoo fans out there. We will reprise the film later in the festival - Sunday July 29 at The Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. Check the festival schedule.

Must run now - Spencer Davis, Stephen Bishop and three very cool bands await...
