With performances by "the world's youngest rock band," Haunted by Heroes, Dee Snider (thank God for Dee Snider), magician Nate Burton, and Train, America's Got Talent wrapped up the semifinal rounds with the final three contestants gearing up for the performance of their lives this Wednesday at 9PM.

I'm just thrilled to be getting back to episodes where 75% of what airs ISN'T filler. Four guest performances? Ok, three, technically Dee Snyder rocked out with Haunted by Heroes. But really, AGT, it's an hour-long results show with only about fifteen minutes dedicated to the actual results. Then we have the deplorable practice of announcing four acts to go to the finals, only to eliminate one of them with a judge's choice before the show ends anyway, trimming those fifteen minutes of programming that actually matters down to five.

Honestly, the most entertaining moment of Wednesday night's results show was probably when Sharon Osbourne forgot Maurice Hayes' name, pretty much confirming my suspicion that she's been dialing in since deciding to call it quits back in August.

When the judge's choice came down to the electrified Lightwire Theater and artist/dancers David Garibaldi and his CMYKs, Howard Stern got to play tie-breaker and despite giving him rather mediocre feedback after Tuesday's performance, went with David Garibaldi because he likes to watch people paint in the park or something.

The three moving forward:

The Untouchables (dance group)
Olate Dogs (animal act)
David Garibaldi and his CMYKs (dancers/painters)

They will, of course, be joining the three acts selected in last week's semifinal rounds:

Tom Cotter (comedian)
William Close (earth harp)
Joe Castillo (sand painter)

What are your thoughts about Wednesday's results?
