I'm Done With Today

I'm done with today.

To be fair, I have been done with some very arbitrary things in my life at different times. There was that one time I was done with elementary school, high school (really every educational level I went through). There were times I was done with this girl, or Drake and then, only sparingly, was I done with life in general. But today, I am just done.

I am done with seeing another black person shot, six times, and then the US just carrying on as business as usual.

I am done with seeing hashtags, twitter #thoughtsandprayers and a big bowl of nothing done to combat this obvious systemic issue within our police force

I am done with having to choose my words carefully, so as to not look like I am coming for the police, having to explain that "no, I actually do believe there are good police officers." Yeah I am definitely done doing that.

I am done with being desensitized to this, so much so that the first thing I do is shrug when I see this, because I know what will follow. Nothing. No charges, lotta excuses and that Alton Sterling will never come back to his family

And oh yeah, I am done with Brexit, 50 people in Orlando dead and still no productive talk about gun control, people calling Jesse Williams racist and that 250 people in Baghdad are dead and the world barely sneezed at it.

I am done with think pieces such as this thinking any real change can from this. Or to at least make people think.

I think most people are done reading this article. So I am done.

Just done.
