Love, love that fake fur hat! I've been wanting one of those forever, but can't find any in my neck of the woods.

Audrey's hat is a vintage one, so your best bet might be to search eBay or Etsy for something similar.

loving that fur. Toasty

I don't like fur. Fake or real, it just looks like it's too much.
I love animals. They have rights. But the only right I care about is their right to taste good. So I'm not all PETA and stuff. But, this teacher in my high school has a fur coat that so hideous. She looks 300 pounds in it and everyone is telling her its nice. No.. she's a walking petting zoo.

These are okay, but I much preferred the stylish and original street fashions from Paris that were shown the other week.

"Loro Piana Hat"? People buy designer toques?

I cant even begin to imagine how much of a rip off they must be.
05:11 PM on 01/30/2011
Loro Piana is an Italian fabric manufacturer first and foremost. Their fabrics, epecially the wools, are GORGEOUS and ever so soft. Yes, it was probably an expensive hat, but the fabric is worth it, especially in winter. Last fall I bought a peacoat made by Fleurette (USA!) out of LP fabric and it is so soft and warm. Paid extra, even on sale, but I was happy to support an American firm and there are just days when my 10-year old LLBean parka won't do!

Still amazed, and totally so...

I shouldn't, but darned if I don't love - LOVE - that vintage mink over the ski coat. OK, I'm properly ashamed.

I don't know what it is but I just love winter outerwear. If I was a designer that is what I would pick. I like almost all of these looks.

amazing that all the comments thus far are criticisms of the tacky and unnecessary fur. that was the first thing that really struck me looking at the slides.

Since raccoons ripped the heads off 50 live chickens in my barn that they didn't even eat , I like the idea of raccoon coats myself. I am over run with them. They rip up my cats and tear into my grain bags and cause me endless trouble. Racoons also spread allot of deadly viruses that are a threat to me and my animals.

Goodness - just reinforce your chicken coop properly, don't leave feed out and keep the feed in raccoon-proof containers, and you'd be done with that problem. To want to see millions of animals murdered via anal electrocution just because you don't properly house and safely maintain your chickens is ridiculous.

I don't get the appeal of real fur. Unless you're a trapper who lives up in Canada or Siberia where you absolutely NEED to have fur for warmth, it serves no purpose.

Real fur is never stylish. It exudes bad karma and the stench is overwhelming.

Now, I do have a couple fake fur items that look great... granted, it is tragic that thousands of innocent baby synthetics lost their lives so that I could wear my fakes, but... (I'm kidding).

All hyperbole either way (pro or con) aside, I really do think that real fur is sad, not stylish. And when there really are lots of great fakes out there, why support such a cruel industry? Even vintage. You buy it, you are supporting it. Why not just go with fake fur?

To each his own, I know, but still...

Part of the cost for wearing anything ripped off the back of an animal ought to be having to be present at the ripping.
