Reading The Pictures: "Dollar Bill McCain"

... But what's really classic is that McCain put Obama's face on a dollar bill over a month ago!

Is the media buying McCain's story that Obama played the race card, using his description of McCain doing things analogous to putting his face on a dollar bill?  Of course, most everyone has taken it as an analogy and McCain, as well as some of the media, have been looking to crucify Obama for it.  The thing is, McCain actually DID put obama's face on a dollar bill -- over a month ago in a little-seen web video.  The point is, Obama's analogy -- whether he realized it or not, and maybe he heard about the video and only recalled it subconsciously -- isn't even an analogy, it's true!

Plus, Team McCain turned him pansy yellow, made him all starry-eyed, then blew him up.

(...And, I leave it to my sharp-eyed and photoshop-savvy readers to decide if those aren't X's embedded in that last frame, or maybe other weird stuff.  Not sayin', just wonderin'.)

Video here.

Let's get this straight.

When McCain puts out insulting caricatures of Obama on the dollar bill, nobody picks it up and criticises him for it.

When Obama complains about it, he is accused of "playing the race card"?

Wow, how screwed up are things in this country?

The honor of being "screwed up" should be awarded to the msm and to the McCain camp for deliberately misleading the American people in this election process. Lets see if the msm comes forward next week with this McCain caricature of O on the dollar bill courtesy of the McCain campaign.

I used to have some respect for McCain. It is gone. He is not Presidential material. He shouldn't even be in the Senate. He's shown himself to be no better than Bush, Cheney, et. al..

Good detective work, Mr. Shaw. Thank you.

does the media even know about this, or are they purposely ignoring it like they do everything else when it comes to Mac, I mean they edit answers for him, so why not overlook the fact that Obama was referencing a video on Mac webpage back on June 27th.

Thank god someone is writing about linking to the 'Seal' ad with the 100 dollar bill in it. The McCain campaign is getting away with the "little ol' we?" thing acting as if Obama just pulled his comment about presidents on dollar bills out of thin air, apropos of nothing.

The HuffPo editors would do well to make this the top story instead of a misleading headline turning Obama's comment about a possible compromise with lots of conditions (like 50 miles from shore instead of 3 miles) into a claim that obama said he'd 'back' offshore drilling when he said nothing of the sort.

McCain hires those involved in the Harold Ford race-baiting ad. Yes, I know it is hard to find Republican help that isn't tainted by the Rovian ethic, but just saying.

McCain runs an ad that features Obama and two young white female celebrities. Yes, I know there aren't any other celebrities that could have been chosen, but just saying . . .

McCain runs an ad comparing Obama's face on a dollar bill to another President. Yes, I know it is difficult to think of any other way to suggest that Obama may be confident enough to lead the country, but just saying . . .

Obama points out what has been going on in the campaign so far, and which will likely continue, ie people suggesting that he doesn't look like other President's on the currency.

McCain camp quotes OJ Simpson's attorney by saying that Obama is playing race card 'from the bottom of the deck'. Yes, I know that it was likely just a coincidence that the exact same phrase was used by McCain's spokespig as was used by OJ's lawyer when explaining how he duped the jury.

Just a coincidence folks. Nothing to see here. When will Obama stop playing the race card?

It is the 100.00 bill and Franklin was never a president. Why the 100.00?

Because McCain is unfamiliar with bills of smaller denomination. He's never seen them. :-)

Because Franklin was never president??! Why, that's it!! You hit on it - it's a subtle message that Obama will never be president.

Boy those republican admen (madmen) sure are clever with all the subliminal s@#$t they embed in their advertisements. Or maybe it was just a happy coincidence - otherwise they haven't got a clue.

There should be a special punishment for playing the "race card" card.

Why isn't this front page news...or atleast front and center with "RED HOT" leaping at the readers as soon as they visit huffpo. Wow!!!!! McCains head campaign manager Rick Davis is so right on when he told Andrea Mitchele that it's the media who are providing them with talking points against Obama...

I am sure you won't post this...Sad...Way to unite with the democrat "liberal media" ...what a joke!!!!

Well all I can say is Mcc and his campaign must think everyone's memory is as bad as theirs. Excellent job Mr. Shaw. Can't wait for response to this one if MSM picks it up.

the ad is definitely meant to make people feel uncomfortable with the idea of obama representing that which is quintessentially american.it's the same old reminder that he's different, doesn't quite fit your mental image of the american president, he;s not the blond haired blue eyed american ideal, all while wrapped up in the charge that he's arrogant, read: uppity.

The news media , the democrats and others by now have to stop saying that McCain is a nice guy or a straighter , because we have now seen his real actions and statements and he falls right in line with Bush , Cheney and their group of thugs.
I Believe that McCain's backers has something to do with those hecklers at the Obama's meeting , where a black person was condemning Obama for not taking up for the black people
After the meeting was over the news of course got him to make a statement after the event and he stated that he would not vote for Obama........If he is not a plant then who is he voting for McCain a devoted Bush and Cheney a... kisser.
If I am not mistaken New Orleans just as 911 was on Bush & Cheney's watch with a full republican controlled house of representatives and the Senate , so he is attacking the wrong person and why has this question never been put before Bush, Cheney or their McSame which is a clone of the last 8 years of destruction.
Tell this person to go to one of McCain's meeting (which we know McCain meetings like Bush's are screen) , and ask McCain that question.

Not only is he on the 100 dollar bill but on all four faces of Mount Rushmore. lol. It's beyond hilarious. Did McCain take some pure Windowpane- if not, why is he hallucinating so vividly?
He also puts Obama's face on the Staue of Liberty, so perhaps McCain thinks Obama is French, and you know how Republicans feel about the French.
