It's a fascinating behavioral portrait of the co-conspirators who pulled the plug on the McCain campaign Wednesday morning.
Is this what a senior campaign staff would look like having, as alleged, just been forced to take earth-stopping measures in response to a national crisis they likened to 9/11?
In using the financial crisis to upend the election process, co-opt the delicate Wall Street negotiations in Congress, and unilaterally force the Obama campaign off the road, Charlie Black, Matt McDonald, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter can barely restrain themselves from laughing in our faces.

Yah! They look LIKE THE FATS CATS who swallowed THE BIG BIRD and licking their GLUTTONOUS LIPS!
They're going down. Let them have this laugh. It's not the last.
No, it's really the look one has when a Preperation H moment has passed after a quick application of that balm. Always keep a small tube for these unforseen moments. A quick trip to the loo or a deserted, dark corner can work wonders.
"Are you sure this bar opens at 7 am?"
You can put pants on pigs but well....
Who is John Galt? Cynicism and despair are being driven into our political process by guys like these. Hopefully we won't let them win.
These guys really look like they have been up to their asses in alligators and have just found a dry patch to stand on. Imagine having to steer around the lies and the bs coming out of their candidates mouths while they try to push other lies and bs.... must be damned jumpy work...
C"mon people! These are patriots doing their patriotic duty to get a patriot who stands for, well...., torture, obfuscation of POWs, etc and has admited publicly that he wants to be president because of ambition and not because of anything that he claims to believe ... see his book for more info... but here is the quote
n his 2002 memoir, "Worth the Fighting For," McCain wrote, revealingly, "I didn"t decide to run for president to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be president because it had become my ambition to be president. . . . In truth, I"d had the ambition for a long time.") -excerpt from POLITICO article from Elizabeth Drew, 17.September 2008 (How John McCain Lost Me)
These men are Patriots!!!!
This Group is laughing because the American Voters let them..each one, i believe is a Lobbyist ,,,making millions, to corrupt the system,,and planning on fixing the election....Thats Corporate Folks,,laughing at the peons down below,,and walking away with the goodies...
The Photo speaks for itself...hope this does not go to pending, usually end up pending,,keep trying to understand why the truth,,,as The Post Writes it is ok,,but our comments are not..here goes..
They simply look relieved. I did happen to notice that they are "latte" drinkers. How did an elitist get into the McCain camp?
It reminds me of two album titles from the 70's. Al Kooper's "Act Like Nothing's Wrong" and Supertramp's "Crisis?.What Crisis?".
GSMRaleigh- let's hope you're right

Interesting photos - they do indeed appear almost giddy.
Shouldn't come as a surprise though.
See my piece about how some people (perhaps even Bush) are actually PROFITING from this crisis:

Thank you for your writing of the ripoff we are getting ready to absorb. But then, what's new?
No one at HuffingtonPost has written about this to my knowledge:
Along with the crisis created by former Goldman Sachs-CEO (also under reported) Treasury Secretary Paulson (a thief responsible), now comes this: the end of Posse Comitatus, the law since the end of the Civil War preventing U.S. Army operations inside the United States against U.S. citizens.
The article, reported yesterday on the front page of Army Times: http://www.armytime s.com/news/ 2008/09/army_ homeland_ 090708w/ ...has since disappeared. Visit PrisonPlanet.com for the story:

(note: this begins Oct. 1st, one month before an election which may or may not happen ... )
I posted before I read this. Yes, the times are a changing. Remember the boy scouts motto? ditto.
Remember Kent State?
Why bother campaigning if your strategy is to steal the election with Diebold machines?
OK, now I'm back onto an old fear. We have no guarentee there will even be an election next Nov. What with the wars on terror and now the economic melt down, who doesn't think Bush won't make a grab for the whole enchilada???
This looks like any business meeting in the building industry with one more aging hipster and a young galoot with a shaved head gloating that they just slipped another change order through. High fives all around boys. Let's go smoke some 'gars.
I am sick to death of these people and look forward to them crawling back to the darkness underneath the rocks they slithered out from under eight years ago.
Please, America, wake up and bury them.
Cheers,
Jack
This photo should be on the front page of every newspaper in America - with an appropriately caustic caption to boot.
