About to deliver her imprint on the biggest and most controversial piece of legislation of her life, get ready for a steady stream of pictures of Pelosi this week (already started: 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) making her look like an incredible goof. (Not that BagNewsNotes hasn't been pointing this out, by the way, since the two-headed monster won the White House News Photographer Association's "Political Photo of the Year" in '07.)
In this pic, The Speaker is miniaturized; her title is almost completely obscured and sliced; her oversized and disembodied hand, combined with the angle of the drapes, the flags, the ceiling, the reflection in the mirror, and the eagles ringing her head make her seem like she's part of a real carnival; and her bulging eyes make her look like a hysteric, which -- with all the exaggerated expressions and super-close ups already flooding the wire -- is what the distortion is really about.

Bah!! She has faced nothing compared to a whole group of Republican women. You all feel it is okay to smear Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, or Condi Rice, but somehow pat yourself on the back that you are not "sexist". Republicans don't even come close to the hateful things said about those women.
Sarah Palin made girls pay for their own abortions.
Michelle Bachmann makes up stories about the census getting used against Americans.
Condi Rice helped lie us into a war.
Get what I'm saying?
Made it hard to be convicted for raping a poor woman in Wassilla by not permitting the police department to pay for the test to get semen samples and prove rape occurred. This test costs about $1,000.00. If your victim can't get her hands on the money ...
For what other crime are victims expected to pay the lab fees for the investigations? Yeah, that'll be $5.00 for taking fingerprints and running them through the database, $400.00 for doing DNA work on the blood stains that might belong to the attacker ... so you might want to hold off on that till the fingerprints come back, lets see what else ...
Also, she fired the police chief that didn't do this and replaced him with Fannon who was a vocal supporter of the policy and who fought statewide legislation to forbid it on the grounds that the Taxpayer shouldn't have to pay for evidence collection when a rape occurs.

----------
Fannon was quoted as saying. "I just don't want to see any more burden on the taxpayer."
.
Before Palin came to City Hall, the Wasilla Police Department paid for rape kits out of a fund for miscellaneous costs, according to the police chief who preceded Fannon and was fired by Palin. That budget line was cut by more than half during Palin's tenure.

YOU GO, GIRL!
Passing this 2700 page bill with tweaking will not lower ever increasing costs nor will it cure the historic sins and unacceptable insurance practices of jacking up premiums, withholding or denying care, bankrupting, and killing patients.
Harsh words about health insurers said by the President will not change the facts that; this bill is a money machine for insurance companies and health care providers, and a financial disaster for consumers, employers, and taxpayers.
This bill was crafted and paid for by the healthcare industry, $600,000,000. reported so far, to yield obscene profits for them while bleeding the life blood out of helpless victims.
Were there illegal payments and deals made to facilitate these unfair schemes?
Real Public Option reforms which would save lives and save as much as a trillion dollars annually have been kept out of the health care debate by the President, Democrats, and Republicans.
Were crimes committed doing this?
If crimes are discovered, when we are able to investigate how our political process sunk so low as to allow this assault upon our families’ health and finances, we must vow to hunt down every perpetrator until each is brought to justice.
These are dastardly crimes against humanity and everyone found guilty should be forever unforgiven and forced to pay harsh consequences for their treachery.
The use of bad pictures to make a political opponent look bad is not new OR sexist.
Your guys lost and have nothing to offer. So get over it.
Pelosi and Reid are going to deliver health care reform the US needs to be competitive in a global economy. While insurance companies continue to make money by denying the care they paid for, and thus killing people, something is horribly wrong and you just don't get it.
