Reading the Pictures: "Muslim Radicalization" Hearings: Day 1 in 3 Pictures

Those paranoid eyes.

Optic of the day has King's Muslim fellow Congressman in tears? At best, GOP succeeds in muddying the waters. At worse, who's terrorizing who?

By way of the headscarf, the shoulder patch and the shimmering bar on the collar, the photo is most impressive in aligning the Muslim community with local law enforcement. As the L.A. Sheriff's testimony rebuts Muslim hysteria, what this united front emphasizes is just how divorced Capitol Hill is from the everyday world.

there's no difference at all. I vote against every incumbent, in every race, regardless of party.

There is a difference in social matters, but in everything else, not so much.

These hearings cannot be dismissed as a "social matter".

"Divorced from the every day world". You said that right.

I thought he hit rock bottom when he couldn't get 1 GOP Senator to support Healthcare for 9/11 responders... I was wrong. He's sunk further.

This is the perfect example of what happens when Republicans gain power. They immediately demonstrate that they are out of touch with the public. Next King will be investigating God for causing that earthquake in Japan and diverting attention from his hearings.

Peter King is the reincarnation of Joe McCarthy. Politicians should all be required to pass an IQ test
before running for office as well as the electorate before voting.

But so many would FAIL, unless you counted the runs.

King is wasting such time and money while making such a fool of himself in the process.

Peter King is taking the low road again, not unexpected but disappointing anyway.

Don't we have laws against bigotry? Didn't we already learn the lessons of Japanese internment camps and McCarthyism? It seems to me King is guilty of something illegal with these hearings. At a minimum they are very offensive and anyone who voted for him should be embarrassed and seeking a recall.

If our government had any sanity then the attack and defunding of Acorn would not have happened.
