101 Obama Nights: Are They Real?

The bottom line of the 100-day critiques of President Obama is that the guy is...incredible. Time gives him an A- and Michelle an A+. The right wing may be accusing him of socialism, but BusinessWeek is reporting that corporate America, like everybody else who isn't a right-wing nutter, is in love with him, too. His 100-day news conference was loose and easy, according to Salon. Everywhere there is the obvious, almost pained, inability to criticize him very much. He's perfect, after all.

Here's the reasonable question to ask of a person who is universally loved: Is he a fake?

A phony, a wily seducer, a major cynic.

And will we find out?

Results, that is what we are all waiting on. Good intentions is one thing, positive progress is another.

Well, I guess I most be one of the mass blythe idiots then, because I DO love our President. I agree with you, no person, no family is perfect, should be heralded as perfect, or expected to be and remain perfect. HOWEVER, can you deny his good intentions? Can you deny his work ethic, and what he is trying to do with our country. Would you prefer some more Bush??? I can't imagine anyone wants to continue in that state of life. You are very insightful, and great with the pen. But I love Obama, he is a symbol of our country's progress, just by the fact that he is an African American president, elected by we the people. My belief is, he is and will do our country justice, and will leave us better than how he found us. But that is only my opinion.

I am happy and so proud to say= they are as real as it gets!
There are wonderful people and quiet heroes everywhere. And there are extraordinary leaders! Thank God, President Obama is ours!

Have you even been paying attention? Did you miss all the outrage over the bailout scam, compromising with Republicans, and especially the on-going obstruction of legally obligatory torture prosecutions?

Obviously not.

Anyway ~ since you asked: He is not fake. Neither is the First Lady. They are themselves. It's why he won.

You see - It is entirely possible to be a multifaceted person, yes, though the last few decades have encouraged us all to be simply 'Functional'
- remember all thats asked of us is to be mindless consumers. Or obedient workers. Pliant voters.

And we complied. They did'nt.

You're just jaded. Been too long around the wrong crowd.
:)

I agree. Obama is who he is. He is transparent. Those that didn't see him for what he is paid too much attention to the words and little to no attention to his actions.

"People may doubt what you say, but believe what you do."

Maybe some people got too used to a one-dimensional president.
