Just as trees, before ever thinking about growing up, grow roots deep down, so too can we, fellow limbed creatures, create a life that is grounded in what is most true for us, flowing out from what lies deep beneath and at the core.
It's no wonder parents romantically plead with their young kids to wait for the growing up part. It's the growing in and deep down we not only want them to do and focus on, but not forget.
Our most profound external expressions are so because of the slow, deliberate time taken to get to know the rich soil known as soul.
