It’s fascinating to see the viral cry for health care reform all over Facebook today.

No one should die because he or she cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because he or she gets sick. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day.

One person puts it up early in the morning, you acknowledge it, and keep moving. Then another "friend" posts it as their status, and you say “good for them.” But you stop, check, and really read it when a majority of your friends are posting and it’s only 3pm PST. Are we just talking to one another -- yet again? Or have we taken a big step forward and is the campaign for health care reform reaching throughout the country?

The important question is who started this viral campaign today for health care reform on Facebook? Was it those other pesky liberals at Facebook that engineered this campaign? Was it Facebook flexing its muscle? Or was it readers aka friends all over the country that voted for that Democrat in the White House? Better yet, was it a whim or was it carefully organized? Will it reach Europe and Asia since two thirds of Facebook users are outside the US?

The consequences of this type of viral campaign are staggering with over 250 million active users worldwide. Facebook may be a force to reckon with, and perhaps becoming more pervasive than the long reach of Google.
