She was so unclear and evasive about the reasons for her resignation that I kept banging my car's dashboard thinking my radio was just giving off a lot of static. It didn't work. No matter how much I pounded on her, I couldn't get a straight answer. See if you can figure it out in this AP post.
Sarah Palin The Quitter. I think she said she quit because the media was too negative and she didn't want to waste millions of tax dollars to fight ethics investigations. But really, it doesn't matter. She quit. She gave up. She betrayed everybody who gave money, made phone calls, and invested all their energies into electing her. This is the legacy that Sarah Palin leaves behind:
When the going gets tough, quit.
Thanks, Sarah Palin for being a role model our daughters can look up to. Thanks for living up to the stereotype that women aren't tough enough to stick it out. Thanks for showing everybody that the best way to shoulder responsibility is to wiggle out of it. That when things aren't to your liking the best thing to do is run. And thank you especially for the reminder that quitting is a gift for the people you quit on.
Sarah Palin, Meet Hillary Clinton. She has a thing or two to teach you. Against all odds, Hillary never quit the presidential race until every note of the swan song played out. Weren't you listening when she said that she got up for every American that got hit and went down? Didn't you see her when she refused to wave the white flag you so furiously wave now? Has she taught you nothing? Let me repeat her mantra to you: Never give in; never give up.
Sarah, you're a sissy.

Talk about harsh media treatment?
-Hillary Clinton has a negative hour and a half documentary made about her that tied up the Supreme Court on whether or not its campaigning or educational. Palin had a porno made about her - and let's be honest, if Larry Flynt takes notice of you, you've finally hit the big time, consider it a compliment.
-Does anyone remember during the Clinton presidency when the telephoto lens caught the Clinton's hugging at the beach and there was a full back shot of Hillary and the tabloids lit up with the condition of her legs (cellulite mostly) for days? How would *any* woman want to be under that kind of microscope?
-Hillary was called a b---h on national TV by the de-facto head & peer of the opposing party, not citizen bloggers or editorialists.
-Hillary was the laughingstock of the world when she formed the first national healthcare reform campaign at the beginning of Bill's presidency now where's the national dialogue?
Through it all she never gave up or quit.
Palin had her pigtails pulled in school and she ran home crying.
It's funny. I never much cared for Hillary Clinton, yet since Sarah Palin popped onto the national scene, she's actually given me the ability to have a lot more respect for Hillary than I used to, and her ability to step up and be a team player, on someone else's team, which I didn't think she could do, has only bolstered that respect.
Sarah Palin has helped the Democratic party far more than she's helped Republicans!
She helped to bring the Obama supporters and Clinton supporters together over a common belief that Palin was be a disaster for women's rights and women as equals on that "male playing field". Clinton is like Wonder Woman in comparison. I'm still not Clinton's biggest fan, but I certainly have so much more respect for her than I thought possible.
Thanks Sarah!
Hillary's still runin', ain't she?
I am no fan of Sarah Palin. But please please don't hold Hillary Clinton up as an example of someone other politicians, other women, and other wannabe presidents should emulate Hillary Clinton has ridden the back of her charismatic, talented but flawed husband to the hights of wealth and power, by supporting his strength and enabling his weakness. She has COSTANTLY whined about being the poor poor victim of evil men, of the media, of the vast right wing conspiracy. She showed terrible leadership on healthcare reform, on the Iraq War, and in mounting her flawed presidential campaign, which was dishonest divisive and mean-sprited, in the best traditon of Karl Rove.
I think Sarah Palin may have a thing or two to teach Hillary. Against all odds, Hillary never quit, but should have, and still can.
Such as..
You hate Hillary .... blah, blah, blah ...

OTOH - Her favorability ratings are at 65% - 93% among Democrats.

Guess you few, remaining Clinton-h8ers are just a tiny, irrelevant minority.
once again you offer a knee-jerk attack, confusing criticism with "hate", and blind adoration with objectivity. I understand you and the Clintons are guided by carefully selected poll numbers, rather than by values. To me, your poll numbers say that the vast majority of Americans are very releived and happy that Hillary is not president and is no longer an active candidate (yet?).
Now that she is in a role similar to what she did as first lady -- smile and greet -- with no real power or capacity to shape policy, Americans approve of her, similarly to how they approved of her in the last years of the Clinton administration. As long as she stays out of the headlines and leaves foreign policy to those qualified to guide it, she should have 100 percent approval.
Wait a minute! Sissy? I thought she was a Maverick! I guess Mavericks run too...
Well done Mr. Alvear.. Very Well done... I could not have said it any better!
Never give up! Never surrender!
spot on. especially the part about young women.
Right on, Mike! You do a service to the women and young girls of this country. Thank you.
No, I think "bully" is a more accurate description. She likes to go after soft targets, or act tough as part of a crowd, but she doesn't really have much in the way of guts.
most girls never found Sarah to be a role model....i t's just the truth. most moms would rather their kid look up to Michael Jackson than Sarah Palin. So she was never in any danger of representing young girls and women of the U.S.
Indeed.
do they find Mrs. Bill Clinton to be a role model?
Are you suggesting they don't?
YES SHE IS>>>

Bloggers who don't allow dissent on their threads are sissies too.
Exactly! I'll be sharing this with all of my friends (Alaskan and otherwise) ...what you wrote is simple, concise and explains Sarah perfectly. Thanks!
