This won't be a long post, because I just need to ask a simple question. With Ted Kennedy too sick to come down to DC and make the committee vote, Democrats will need every Senator on the HELP committee to produce a strong bill, a bill that fights for what Teddy Kennedy has been fighting for his entire life. The last hold out is Kay Hagan, who represents a state (NC) that is one of the worst in the country in terms of percent of people without health insurance. The insurance companies are lobbying Hagan against the bill, because they don't like having to compete with a public option. My simple question is this: Teddy Kennedy is too sick to be there, Senator Hagan, so he is relying on your vote for the issue that he has fought for passionately his entire life. Will you betray him to help the insurance companies? You need to make up your mind now.

I've already emailed her several times, obviously she's ignoring us.
Kay... better find yourself some Ruby Slippers
I voted for Kay Hagin in NC,and voted for change. If she does not stick with the health care plan that Obama has proposed she has lost my vote, my husband , my children, granchildren, great grandchildren, my husband relatives and all of my relatives and everyone that I know who voted for her. She may as well pack up and leave washington.
I was thrilled to no end when Hagen defeated Dole. But as a NC voter who has supported her in the past I'd like to advise her to do the right thing and stand with the people and not the health care industry on this one.
We sent you to Washington because we expected you to change things Senator Hagan. So far all you've shown us is more of the same. If we had wanted someone who votes the same way Sen. Dole did we would have sent her back to the Senate.
Are you listening Senator Hagan? The tide is turning and you better put your boat in the right direction.
I live in NC; gave her my hard-earned money and my vote. If she doesn't support us she loses my vote in the future. I plan to contact her office (again) to make this clear. She works for us, not the insurance companies. To paraphrase an old saying, "we brought her into this job, and we can take her out of it."
ARE YOU LISTENING, SENATOR HAGAN?
CLEARLY Hagen and Kennedy have sold out to the health insurance industry. Otherwise they'd BOTH be for Universal Single Payer Health Insurance run by the government!
We are being sold down the river and pretending their are "good guys" as well as bad guys in this is just enabling them.
I have e-mailed her twice. I had no idea that she was a Blue Dog. She will be gone if she doesn't work for the citizens of NC.
Next year - Senator Burr needs to be fired
katbur, thanks for posting this information. I went to her website and she hasn't added anything since November 2008. Hagan and Bev Perdue need to get it together or they will be out next time.
Kennedy needs to resign ASAP. What's the point of keeping him around?
Because he is fighting for us.
As a citizen of North Carolina I urge all of you to contact Senator Hagan's office. Here's all of the contact information that I have;

I called her office and I sent her a lengthy email, reminding her that she works for us, not the lobbyists and the drug companies and the AMA. We voted her in, and she can say goodbye to a second term if she does not stand up for us. We'll have to find a real democrat to take her place if necessary.
