It's been a whirlwind week for Elaine Marshall's campaign for Senate with endorsements and momentum coming from every direction. In the last 72 hours, Elaine was endorsed by two of the state's biggest newspapers, the Charlotte Teamsters, and Pam Spaulding from Pam's House Blend.

This week got even better when a slew of Orange County (Chapel Hill, NC) elected officials announced their support for Elaine Marshall. I've posted a full list below, but this is another sign of Elaine's incredible momentum.

The following was released earlier today:

Leaders from Orange County came out in support of Secretary of State Elaine Marshall in her bid for U. S. Senate. Marshall received the endorsement of state Senator Ellie Kinnaird and Carrboro Mayor Mark Chilton as well as several county commissioners and virtually the entire Board of Aldermen in Carrboro.

"Elaine Marshall is a proven leader who is the strongest candidate to take on Sen. Richard Burr in November," said Sen. Kinnaird. "She has the experience and backbone to stand up for North Carolina in the U. S. Senate."

Other endorsers include:

Pam Hemminger, Orange County Board of CommissionersBarry Jacobs, Orange County Board of CommissionersMike Nelson, Orange County Board of CommissionersJoal Hall Broun, Carrboro Board of AldermenDan Coleman, Carrboro Board of AldermenJacquelyn Gist, Carrboro Board of AldermenRandee Haven-O'Donnell, Carrboro Board of AldermenLydia Lavelle, Carrboro Board of Aldermen

This news also comes on the day that our campaign shattered our $20,000 online fundraising goal launched late last week. With the news that we've met our goal, we'll be hitting the airwaves next week so stay tuned to see our new ad. If you can help, please consider chipping in $5 or more to strengthen the buy!
