I recently shot the beautiful model Melodie Monrose for Lurve Magazine.
We shot on the street in the Little Italy/Chinatown area of Manhattan. It was super hot out, but we were shooting for fall, so Melodie had to wear lots of furs. I was sweating my butt off, but she didn't seem to be warm. She remained flawless throughout the day.
At one point, we were shooting on Mulberry St. in little Italy and anyone who knows New York knows that this area is teaming with tourists. I was shooting her against a construction wall when my assistant told me to turn around. There must have been 200 people with camera phones and video recorders in hand standing around watching us! We were both fully clothed and Melodie isn't famous (yet), so I'm not really sure what the big deal was. I guess it was a good N.Y. only story to take home. I was happy to oblige them.
All in all it was a great day and the pictures came out great.
I hope to do more fashion stories in the future.
As always, stay true.
