I never understood what this saying meant. I grew up in a highly dysfunctional household and to say I had a sad childhood would be an understatement. When I was in my late 20's I went to a psychic and she took one look at me and said "When you were young, you were old and when you are old you are going to be young." ?????

You'll understand it 30 years from now, when you're a teenager.

Hi Roseyaire, I understand why initially this may be challenging to interpret intellectually. I totally relate to what you are saying. I too have survived a "bad hand of cards." However, after years of healing I've come to understand forgiveness on a deeper level. When thoughts of the past rise, I see so clearly that they are just thoughts and that life isn't black and white. The beauty of childhood rises to the surface despite abuse and abandonment - like sitting outside in the forest gazing at the trees, feeling the mystery of life without any words. It just is. It is a good childhood.

Thank you for taking the time to write this thoughtful and personal reply, Molly. Thank you also for the healing energies you contribute to the Universal Bucket of Healing and Upliftment, both thru the personal work you've done and now these doodles. I have spent decades personally and professionally focused on healing and am ready to move into a new phase of my life. If I ask Great Spirit to let the beauty of my childhood rise to the surface, I have every confidence that that will be done for me. And as my family and I move to a different part of the country, our eyes will be opened anew to the beauty there. Life is good.
