Last Gasp Summer Reading Suggestions for Kids [VIDEO]

I asked Betsy Bird, a New York City librarian, if she'd join me in suggesting a few final fun reads for summer. Here is a video featuring the two of us, a bunch of books, and the occasional baby sound effects. Enjoy!

It is August and an odd time for kids. While some are still at camp, at the pool, on family vacations, and otherwise relaxing, others are heading back to school. Wherever they are they are probably doing a bit of reading, some because they want to and some because they have to. Thinking particularly of the latter I asked my friend Betsy Bird, a New York City librarian and well-known children's lit blogger, if she'd like to join me in suggesting a few final fun reads. She did and so here is an entertaining video featuring the two of us, a bunch of books, and the occasional baby sound effects. Enjoy!
