Bay Area turntablist/producer and co-owner of the record label Street Ritual, Knowa Lusion (whose previous moniker was Known Knowone), is a huge part of the fast-growing bass music movement. One of the pioneers of glitch hop, Knowa's East Coast roots developed his musical foundation as he began his professional career as a DJ and promoter at hip hop, electronic and drum 'n' bass events. These varying flavors of his history are what make up his diverse musical palate today.

Rook & Knowa Lusion's Volume 1 is an eccentric collaboration that boasts funky rhythms, liquid grooves, and that deep dose of bass which we all crave. This four-track EP is a new take on Knowa's iconic style with the addition of Rook's fresh flavor. The EP's opening track is accompanied by a music video titled "I Got a New Lady" which drips with vaudevillian glitch funk. The other two original tracks explore sci-fi soundscapes, moombahton pulsations, experimental melodies, and enough dance beats to keep you warm all winter. The final track is a Novascope remix of the second track, "Into the Jungle," a cinematic finale to an imaginative EP.

Just a tasty sampler platter of what Rook & Knowa Lusion have in store, their Volume 1 EP is already receiving oodles of positive feedback within the bass music community. Attuned to a very particular sound and style of electronic music, Street Ritual has released yet another innovative and juicy album.
