In the aftermath of the Brussels terror attacks, which killed 35 people and injured 270, leaders from the Unites States of America, Europe, Israel and New Zealand joined together in signing a letter of support for the citizens of Belgium and to condemn the terrorist attacks on just and free societies. The engaged leaders signing the letter affirm our common civilization, based on the rule of law, which protects life, liberty and private property.
We invite concerned leaders from around the world to join in signing this letter.
March 25, 2016Letter from Leaders: Standing with Belgium's Citizens, Affirming our Common Civilization
On behalf of concerned citizens in America, Europe, Israel and New Zealand, we send our deepest condolences to the family members and friends of the individuals killed in the Brussels' terrorist attacks. We stand with the citizens and leaders of Belgium during this difficult period.
The radical Islamists of ISIS and its affiliated terrorist groups are killing innocent victims in France, Belgium, the United States, and within the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and the Middle East. The continuous terrorist attacks in Israel are a reminder of the threats we face in nations that uphold the rule of law and affirm democratic institutions.
Our common civilization based on the rule of law, protecting life and liberty, and our shared values, principles and interests are under attack.
Our resolve and commitment to protect our common civilization is strengthened.
Together, leaders and engaged citizens from rule of law nations must defeat terrorists. Individuals must be bold in standing up against radical Islamic rhetoric calling for the destruction of just and free societies.
In order to defeat terrorists, we must be united in applying our shared principles. We have a moral responsibility to protect our children, families and communities against the evils of radical Islamic terrorism.
