Tootsies World Famous Orchid Lounge has been a hub for many country music legends such as Faron Young, Patsy Cline, Kris Kristofferson, and Loretta Lynn.

The Sweet 16 results are in, and after another round of The Big Tap Historic Bars Tournament the competitors who couldn't hold their liquor head for the door.

To the scores...

The Dresden 410 -- 834 Tootsies Orchid Lounge
The Dresden was "so money" in the first round, but had to face the music when it got doubled up by Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.

Salty Dawg Saloon 452 -- 814 Safe House
The Salty Dawg Saloon was lured into a false sense of security and eliminated.

Hanover Tavern 498 -- 641 Gangway Bar
This culture clash pitted a beast of the old-school East against one of the best from the progressive West. But with historical figures like George Washington and Edgar Allen Poe to back it up, the Hanover Tavern still has plenty to be proud of.

Holler House 1,872 -- 344 Tycoons Alehouse & Eatery
Holler House turned out to be the true robber baron of this Midwest matchup as it exploited Tycoons for the largest vote spread of the tournament.

The Corner Club 959 -- 701 The Monkey Bar
The Corner Club's Cinderella story continues as the tiny Moscow, Idaho sports bar knocks off one of New York City's finest historical haunts.

Backroom Bar 590 -- 574 Carousel Bar & Lounge
The Carousel Bar & Lounge got all turned around and the Backroom escaped into the Elite 8 after another close shave.

Silver Bar 492 -- 667 The Old Talbott Tavern
As Hansel said to Zoolander, "Age before beauty." This walk off had a different ending, though.

The Mint Bar 646 -- 499 Bourbon and Branch
Both competitors in the speakeasy showdown were the Real McCoy, but in the end, The Mint Bar proved to be the gin joint with the right juice.

The second round of the 2015 Historic Bars Tournament saw a lot of good watering holes wash down the drain, but as the crowd thins, the true players step to the bar for a chance to write the next page in the history books.
