Score extra points for USA Today in taking a look at the Civics Flash Cards available from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Question 80 is "Name one right or freedom guaranteed by the first amendment." The answer omits one. Class?

Alfonso Aguilar, director of the office of citizenship at the USCIS, tells the USAT that the 20-year-old citizenship test the flashcard is based on is "flawed" and is in the process of a $6 million redesign.

The person who developed the test was not necessarily a civics or constitutional scholar.... The content is not very good. It's very trivia-based.

Now doesn't that reflect well on the immigration debate?
