Two weeks ago, I started seeing the word "doughnut" in the same places where I was accustomed to seeing the words "ganache" and "affogato" and "tiramisu." Doughnuts are not new, but they're being overhauled as hot and cool and holy.
I'm not alone in my love of doughnuts. According to one of my favorite little pamphlets, published in 1945 by the Doughnut Corp. of America, the doughnut is a symbol of fellowship, friendliness and a good time.
Android 2.2 (Froyo) is on about 29% of active devices and Android 2.0/2.1 (Éclair) is on 41.7% as of September 1. Additionally, there appears to be no minimum hardware standard with handsets or tablets.
