Iran is a country of many contradictions. On the one hand, Iran is a theocratic regime that persecutes homosexuals and Christian evangelists, imprisons journalists, and supports bad actors in the region.
Time is running out. In the context of the Arab Spring, the U.S. has to focus on the Iranian people and their organized opposition as the key to building a free, democratic and non-nuclear Iran. That is the surest way to salvage a peaceful solution and avoid the military option.
